Anime Inspired Cartoons

Do you guys know what “amerime” is? Amerime is actually something you guys might be familiar with just like Boku No Pico but not really because Amerime means American anime and sometimes, it’s hard to tell the difference between the two if you know what I mean.

If you’re looking for a good change of pace but love the familiar feel of anime, amerime is the thing to watch and today I will be recommending you my top 5 amerime that I found pretty entertaining.

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir
5. Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir
Miraculous Ladybug is a superhero series that is set in Paris and follows the life of a high school girl named Marinette and a high school boy Adrien who are both secretly Paris’ superhero protectors known as Ladybug and Cat Noir. Their duty is to protect Paris from an evil villain named Hawk Moth who transforms people with negative emotions into monsters.

It’s a superhero that uses a yoyo in a ladybug costume and if that doesn’t urge you to check out this series, listen to the catchy theme song! Although the series is simple and to the point but for some reason just grabs your attention and makes you want to watch more!

4. Jackie Chan Adventures
This series is a fictional series based on the action movie superstar Jackie Chan. In Jackie Chan adventures, Jackie plays the role of an archaeologist that is also a martial arts expert and a secret agent. With the help from his niece Jade, his uncle known to be called “uncle” and old friend Captain Black, he saves the world from evil forces that attempt to use ancient artifacts to rule the world.

Jackie Chan Adventures is a pretty old series but it is worth watching! Everything about this series is amazing and very memorable even to this day! If you’re into an all-around kind of series with a good amount of action and comedy, this series will not fail you; it is like watching a Jackie Chan movie but it’s an amerime series instead.

The story of RWBY takes place in the world of remnant, a world filled with humans, a race of demi-humans named Faunus, supernatural forces and dangerous creatures named Grimm. Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang are the main characters are they are training in a place called Beacon Academy in hopes to become Huntresses in order to protect the world from the Grimm.

RWBY is a really unique series that is constantly evolving and bringing new ideas in with really awesome action scenes and unique weapons that are both any weapon you can think of added with a gun. Gun blades, gun hammers, gun scythes, gun fists…lots and lots of gun weapons that are very creative. This series is worth checking out because you can see it evolve right before your very eyes in animation, action, everything!

teen titans
2. Teen Titans
Teen Titans centers around a group of teenage superheroes called the Teen TItans: Robin, Starfire, Beastboy, Cyborg and Raven in charge of keeping West Coast city safe from evil villains.

The interesting thing about this series is that they never get out of their superhero costumes and each season is actually centered on one of the main characters. If you love anime and comics, this series is right up your alley because it combines both the anime style art with a unique spin to DC characters.

Avatar the Last Airbender
1. Avatar the Last Airbender
Water, earth, fire, air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the fire nation attacked. Only the avatar, master of all four elements could stop them; but when the world needed him most, he vanished. 100 years later a water bender named Katara and her brother Sokka discovers the new avatar named Aang and their journey begins to save the world.

The Last Airbender is a really good watch if you’re into martial arts, action and adventure! The series not only a cast of colorful characters with great character development, but a great story, good amount of action and a pinch of comedy to top it off.

These were the top 5 recommended amerime series; however there are more there that may pique your interest like The Boondocks, Totally Spies, and Voltron: Legendary Defender that are also pretty good! If you guys have any series to recommend, don’t hesitate to comment!
